Hot nutritious meals can be
delivered to the homes of seniors who are unable to prepare
their own meals.
Essex Meals On Wheels are
delivered by community volunteers five days a week in Essex,
Essex Junction, Colchester, Williston, Jericho and Underhill. A
hot nutritious meal is provided that includes protein,
vegetables, milk, juice, bread, and fruit. Favorite dishes are
served regularly and special diets are also available.
The visit by the volunteer is
just as vitally important as the healthy meal. Volunteers bring
bright smiles and friendly greetings while checking to make sure
seniors are safe and well.
